A Taste of T or C - set for the night before the Festival, on Friday evening at RioBravoFineArt. By invitation only.
Saturday events
(12 noon - 9pm)
A CELEBRATION OF 95-YEAR-OLDS (and their Elders!) - the oldest residents of our fair community will be the honored guests of our first annual Hot Springs Festival. These near-centurions will be treated liked like royalty, presented with certificates, flowers and special pastries, and have their photos taken. A project of MainStreet Truth or Consequences.
SPA TOURS - if you haven't seen all ten of T or C's downtown spas, you'll want to sign up for this!
THEATER - 2 performances of The TorC Community Theater's play about the town's name change - "Change and Change Again" - will be presented at the Senior Recreation Center (301 Foch) at 5:30 & 7pm.
CHALK ART- fun for kids of all ages.
MUSEUM DISPLAY- a collection of costumes and photos from the town's early days, curated by the Sierra County Historical Society, viewable at the Geronimo Springs Museum. Admission to the museum will be 95 cents all day in honor of the Festival Theme for '09 - 95 Years in Hot Water!
BEER GARDEN - sponsored by Blackstone Hotsprings.
LIVE MUSIC - Los Amigos from 12-2pm, and BRR from 3-5.
VOTE AGAIN ON THE TOWN'S NAME - also from MainStreet Truth or Consequences. So what'll it be, "Hot Springs" or "T or C?" This poll won't have any bearing whatsoever on what the town is actually called going forward, but won't it be fun to know which way it might swing if there WAS an official vote?
VENDORS - download the form (84kb) if you'd like to sell your wares at our festival! Vendor booths will be set up near all the activities, in T or C's completely walkable business / hot springs district.
THE BOUNTIFUL ALLIANCE FUNDRAISER - TBA will sell baked goods and gifts from the MainStreet Truth or Consequences Headquarters (418 Broadway) all day. Big raffle at 7pm!
ART HOP - T or C's downtown Art Hop is the final event of the day - special exhibits and activities are planned as part of the Hot Springs/Cool Art Hop!

Sunday, 2 - 5pm
Caravan of Dreams: A World Music Festival - Two world music fusion groups performing a mixture of afro-cuban, latin (mambo, samba, celtic, flamenco) and middle eastern influenced music with rock and pop energy, at Firebox Gallery (Mims @ Austin). $10 at the door. Download the flyer for more info!
